Soft Tissue Mobilization

soft tissue

Soft tissue Mobilization is a technique that focuses on the tissues that connect, support or surround structures and organs of the body. Includes muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia (connective tissue beneath the skin), nerves, fat, blood vessels and synovial membranes (connective tissue between the synovial joint capsule and cavity). The benefits include: decreasing muscle tension, soft tissue related pain, addressing adhesions (caused by previous injuries, surgeries, or chronic inflammation), improved range of motion, and improved posture.

Some of the techniques we commonly use are Active Release Technique, cupping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), static stretching, and trigger point release. Ask us about how soft tissue work would support your chiropractic visits!
