FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
August 20, 2008
10425 Old Olive Street Road, #207 Creve Coeur, MO
The month of September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness month and one local physician will be literally climbing to new heights to raise money for the cause. Prostate cancer will affect about 200,000 men this year. An early diagnosis is so important to getting the proper treatment as soon as possible. The Prostate Awareness Foundation has the primary goals of raising necessary funds that will assist in continuing to spread more awareness about prostate health. This is what their climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro in September will be all about.
September 17-23, 2008, Dr. Jennifer McCleary will be joining a team of individuals who will be making the 6 day hike to the Uhuru Peak in Tanzania. At 19,340 feet this is the highest point on the African continent. Dr. McCleary says, “I am a person who has always been certain that whatever I give my mind to will be done! And as I grow and mature as a stronger individual and as a more influential community leader and as a better doctor I have become more certain in my role and responsibility to inspire others to their greatness! “I believe that is what led me to the 2008 Kili Climb for the Prostate Awareness Foundation”.
To sponsor a tax deductible donation for this cause, you may send a check to Prostate Awareness Foundation in the name of Dr. McCleary, 2166 12th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94116 or by credit card at http://www.firstgiving.com/JenniferLMcCleary.
Dr. McCleary also says, “I have not have had prostate cancer nor have any of my family members, but I have had patients, practice members and friends that have been effected and understand their fight and perseverance. This climb up Kilimanjaro will be my first and I am up to the challenge and adventure to raise money, inspire others, create awareness and grow to new heights!” She is the owner of a wellness practice, Triad Sports and Family Chiropractic in Creve Coeur and the Central West End.
